Construction Notes // This costume ever an undertaking!! My cape is 12 yards of fabric, it has 5 points and 4 arches, and drags on the ground slightly, since I wanted to stay as close to the New design as possible! My mask is Leather, made by ravenwood masks borrowed from my darling Cassi! my gloves are pleather on the top and spandex on the bottom, which I sewed seams into to look more like her gloves. My belt/pouches are all made out of pleather as are the base of my gauntlets, while the belt buckle and blades on my arms are made from styrene. My boots started out black and I painted them with leather paint, my leggings and top I made myself. This is definitely one of the hardest costumes I've made in a while, I'm super generally pretty happy with how it turned out considering it was my first time doing something like this. I'd like to remake the gloves in the future but besides that everything worked out really well!!

Personal Notes // I really adore Kate. She's a strong, flawed individual who looks like a spooky ghost and is terrifying. I adore how she isn't a tiny little girl like the batgirls, she's a big scary woman who wakes up in the morning and pumps iron, and the fact that she's a lesbian and it's an important part of who she is, is very important to me.
