Construction Notes // Bought brown booties from amazon, black tights from wherever. The skirt is a separate piece from the top even though i know that's inaccurate to what her dress actually looks like - when i was patterning it i accidentally made the hole for the skirt way too big and slightly over gathered the top of the bodice, so when i put them together they just looked like a gathered nightmare, the waistband made it might easier on the eyes. The skirt is one layer of green cotton twill, one layer of off white cotton with a lace trim, several yards of tulle and organza so it has a built in petti - even though her skirt isn't actually that big at this point I was already invested because I had already messed with the costume in terms of accuracy so i just wanted to make it cute. The bodice is self lined in the green tulle, leg of mutton sleeves which I patterned for the first time & as pretty successful! I made the neck hole too big and it doesn't really sit right against my neck, which is annoying. Invisible zipper up the back for closure. The hat was purchased from amazon, cut into the proper size, red sash added made of cotton sateen, matching bows for her hair/braid. The berries are just wooden balls from Micheal's painted pink and hot glued on.
